7:00 p.m. (UPDATE) – All lanes are now open, and the emergency repair work has been completed. DOW crews were able to isolate the leak, and no customers were affected.

5:40 p.m. 05-18-2026 KAPAʻA – One northbound lane is open, with a lane shift in the southbound direction on a portion of Kūhiō Highway in the vicinity of Aleka Loop. DOW crews are conducting emergency water line repairs. Updates will be posted here and at kauiwater.org.
