9:45 p.m. (UPDATE) HANAMAULU – Water continues to regenerate the system, and dependent on demand, water regeneration can take between 3 to 5 more hours to reach all customers. Please continue to conserve water to essential needs only, during this regeneration period.

8:55 p.m. (UPDATE) HAENA-WAINIHA – Effective immediately, BOIL WATER NOTICE ISSUED. Bring water from the tap to a boiling roll for a minimum of 1 minute. DO NOT DRINK WATER FROM THE TAP, BOIL FIRST. (See more details under, “8:55 p.m. (UPDATE) above.)

7 p.m. (UPDATE) WAILUA HOMESTEADS: Water has started moving through the system and due to demand, water regeneration can take between 6 and 8 hours to reach all customers. Please continue to conserve water to essential needs only, during this regeneration period.

6 p.m. HANAMAULU (UPDATE): Water is moving through the water system. Due to high demand, regeneration of the water system is moving slower than expected. Please allow extra time for full restoration.

3 p.m. (UPDATE) KILAUEA – Two 400-gallon water buffalos have been dispatched to Kilauea Neighborhood Center from the National Guard. Estimated time of arrival is 6 p.m.

1 p.m. (UPDATE) KAPAA (Wailua Homesteads) – A power generator has been staged for water tank regeneration efforts.

12 p.m. Haena-Wainiha – Water buffalo providing potable (drinking) water will no longer be staged at Hanalei Colony Resort due to location concerns, the new staging area will be at Wainiha Country Market, located at 5-6607 Kuhio Highway, Hanalei. Staging time depends on access through the Hanalei Bridge. We are currently estimating E.T.A. by 3 p.m.
