7:20 p.m. (UPDATE) – Water line repairs are underway, and an emergency water shutdown is now in effect. DOW crews were able to isolate the shutdown to a portion of Papaloa Road fronting and expected to affect only Lae Nani. Repair work is expected to take approximately 3 to 4 hours.

There is a one-lane closure on a portion of Papaloa Road. Please slow down and use caution while traveling through the work zone.

5:00 p.m. 08-11-2026 – A leak has been detected on a portion of Papaloa Road between Lanikai Street and Wailua Kai Street. For the next hour, customers may experience low water pressure and intermittent water service outages while DOW crews assess the situation. An emergency water service shutdown may occur at any time once the leak repair work has been identified. Updates will be posted as they become available.
