August 16, 2026

4:30 p.m. 08-17-2026 (UPDATE) – Water conservation notice has lifted for Hanapepe-Eleele. Customers may now resume normal water use.

Mahalo to the Hanapepe-Eleele service areas for your water conservation efforts during the notice period.

###

HANAPEPE – The Department of Water (DOW) has issued an immediate water conservation notice for the Hapapepe-Eleele service areas due to a communication issue with the SCADA system.

Customers may experience low water pressure. Customers are advised to limit water use to essential needs only, such as cooking, drinking, and sanitation, to avoid a full water service outage. Water conservation measures include turning off fixtures that automatically draw water such as ice machines and irrigation systems.

In the event of a water service outage, do not run appliances that require water, and do not let your water heaters empty.

This notice will remain active until the conservation notice is lifted.
