--Water conservation request continues for Hanalei and ‘Anini areas until further notice--HANALEI AND ʻANINI – The Department of Water (DOW) reminds customers in the Hanalei community and ʻAnini Beach areas to continue water conservation efforts, due to a mechanical failure on the water system’s pump station that occurred on April 4, 2025, impacting the systemʻs water storage supply. DOW officials are working diligently to acquire the necessary equipment and contractor services to conduct the emergency work.Customers are advised to limit water use to essential needs only to avoid a full water service outage. Water conservation measures include turning off appliances and fixtures that automatically draw water such as ice machines and irrigation systems, and refraining from car washing.Weekly notices will continue to be provided via Kauai County Alerts.
