Scheduled water service shutdown planned for Ulili Road in Kekaha on April 30

KEKAHA – The Department of Water (DOW) advises customers in Kekaha of a scheduled water service shutdown on a portion of Ulili Road (between Akialoa Road and Akekeke Road) on Thursday, April 30, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., weather permitting.

The temporary shutdown is necessary to install a new 4-inch valve and upgrade a hydrant lateral, which will improve water system reliability and fire protection in the area.

Customers are advised to plan accordingly and store enough water for household needs during the shutdown period, and not to use appliances that require water. Do not let your water heater empty. Once water service is restored, the DOW will flush the system through an open hydrant.

The Department of Water apologizes for any inconvenience this temporary shutdown may cause and appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation as crews complete this infrastructure improvement project.
