KAPAʻA –  The Department of Water (DOW) and its contractor, Hawaiian Dredging Company Inc., remind the public that continued utility and excavation work will take place throughout April on Kawaihau Road, from Kapuni Road at Kapahi Park to near the Kapahi Road intersection.

A single lane closure on Kawaihau Road is possible in either direction for portions of the road, from 8 am. to 3:30 p.m., weekdays only. Parking is not permitted in designated work zones.

The work is part of the Kapa’a Homesteads Tanks Project, which will build two 0.5 million-gallon storage tanks for a total of 1 million gallons, along with storm drain improvements and about 1,700 linear feet of water lines.

Residents, pedestrians, and motorists are advised to follow the directions of flaggers and obey posted signs.

For more information or questions, please contact Chansen Oshiro of Hawaiian Dredging Company Inc. at 808-397-9627 or Scott Suga of the Department of Water at 808-245-5411.  You may also email publicrelations@kauaiwater.org
