May 21, UPDATE: Water conservation request continues for customers in Hanalei and ʻAnini
HANALEI AND ʻANINI – Water conservation measures remain in place for Department of Water (DOW) customers in the Hanalei community and ʻAnini Beach areas. The request, which was issued on April 4, 2025, remains in place until further notice. DOW officials have secured contractor services and are now awaiting the necessary components and equipment to conduct the emergency repairs.
DOW thanks customers for their continued conservation efforts and cooperation. Customers are asked to continue water conservation efforts in order to maintain water services and avoid a full water service outage. Water conservation measures include turning off appliances and fixtures that automatically draw water such as ice machines and irrigation systems and refraining from car washing.
Weekly reminders will continue to be provided via the Wireless Emergency Notification System (WENS), the County’s emergency notification system. To sign up, visit www.kauai.gov/KEMA and click “Notification Services.”
