KALĀHEO – The Department of Water (DOW) announces that the emergency water service shutdown on a portion of Papalina Road, has been extended until 9 p.m. today.  DOW crews are working on Papalina Road, near the stoplight intersection with Kaumuali’i Highway.  As nightfall approaches, please drive carefully in this area. Be attentive to traffic cones and the presence of DOW crews along Papalina Road.

KALĀHEO – The Department of Water (DOW) announces that the emergency water service shutdown on a portion of Papalina Road, has been extended until 6:30 p.m. today.

Emergency water service shutdown on a portion of Papalina Road in Kalāheo  

KALĀHEO – The Department of Water (DOW) would like to inform the public that emergency waterline repair work is currently underway on a portion of Papalina Road, between Puʻu Road and Kaumualiʻi Highway. This work began at approximately 12:30 p.m. today, August 11, 2025, and is estimated to last for 3 to 4 hours. Please note that there is no water service available in this area during the repairs. 

DOW crews are working diligently to restore water service as quickly as possible. 

Please exercise caution when driving through the area.
