One-lane road closure and water system upgrade work on Kaapuni Road for Aug. 19

KAPAʻA – The Department of Water (DOW) and its Contractor, Hawaiian Dredging Construction Co., will perform water system upgrade work on Kaapuni Road on Wednesday, August 19, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. A one-lane road closure will be in effect near Kapahi Park, on a portion of Kaapuni Road near the intersection of Kaapuni Road, Kawaihau Road, and Kapahi Road.

The purpose of the water system upgrade is to tie in two connection lines associated with the Kapaʻa Homesteads two 0.5-million-gallon tanks project.

Traffic Advisory

– Traffic control personnel and flaggers will be on-site to direct traffic and help maintain safe passage through the area.
– Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to allow extra travel time.
