Emergency water service shutdown for portions of Wailua Homesteads on Wed., Aug. 12

KAPAʻA – The Department of Water (DOW) has rescheduled a water service shutdown for emergency mainline repair work affecting portions of Wailua Homesteads. The shutdown will be on Wednesday, August 12, from 9:30 a.m. until approximately 12:30 p.m. The affected areas include a portion of Kuamoo Road between Kimo Drive and Kaholalele Road; a portion of Kaholalele Road from Kuamoo Road past Pomaikai Street; Pomaikai Street; Huina Street; Kokeanu Place; Waikolia Street; and Lekia Place.

A leak has been detected in the mainline. An emergency water service shutdown may occur at any time if the leak ruptures further. Updates will be posted at www.kauaiwater.org.
