UPDATE: DOW water rate community meeting rescheduled
LĪHUʻE — The Kauaʻi Department of Water (DOW) has rescheduled the community meeting originally planned for today, April 9, 2026, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Kōloa Neighborhood Center due to severe weather.
The new meeting date will be as follows:
Date: Wednesday, April 15, 2026
Time: 5 – 7 p.m.
Location: Kōloa Neighborhood Center, 3461B Weliweli Rd, Koloa, HI 96756
This is the final meeting in a series of five hosted by DOW to discuss the proposed water rate increases. Residents of South Kaua‘i (Kalāheo, Lāwa‘i, ‘Ōma‘o, Kōloa, and Po‘ipū) are encouraged to attend, but all DOW customers and community members are welcome. DOW will be highlighting findings from our recently completed comprehensive water systems evaluation and water rate study. A question-and-answer discussion will follow the presentation. Open dialogue is welcomed.
Free water conservation-themed giveaways will be offered at the door.
