Road work along Weke Road, ‘Anae Road, He’e Road, and Mahimahi Road March 17-20

HANALEI – The Department of Water (DOW) and contractor Koga Engineering & Construction Inc., will conduct road work with intermittent lane closures in Hanalei from March 17 to 20, 2026.  Work will take place from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weather permitting, on a portion of Weke Road (between ‘Anae Road and Mālolo Road), ‘Anae Road (between Kūhiō Highway and Weke Road), He’e Road, and Mahimahi Road. 

The road work is necessary for pipe probing to identify locations of underground pipes for the Hanalei Water Line Improvements Project.  The project will upgrade the water main infrastructure to meet current water system standards, including existing fire flow requirements.

Please exercise caution and drive slowly when commuting through the work area. Follow the directions of flaggers and adhere to posted signs.
