–Water service interruption on a portion of Haleilio Road, Kaulana Road, and Kihei Road on Nov. 12–

KAPAʻA (Wailua Houselots) – The Department of Water (DOW) will be upgrading the water system on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., weather permitting. During this time, affected areas will experience low pressure, and periods of no water may occur during peak usage hours.

Affected Areas:

• Portion of Haleilio Road, from the Sleeping Giant Trailhead to Kaulana Road

• Kaulana Road

• Portion of Kihei Road, from Kaulana Road to the cul-de-sac

Additional locations notified directly by DOW crews:

• One residence on Nonou Road

• Opaekaʻa Falls Lookout restrooms on Kuamoʻo Road

Customers located in the affected areas are advised to prepare by taking the following steps:

• Store enough water to meet your needs until water service is restored.

• Notify family, friends, tenants, and neighbors.

• Ensure water heaters do not empty, especially if they are faulty.

• Avoid using appliances that require water during the upgrade.
