2007 WATER QUALITY REPORTS

COVERING THE PERIOD OF JANUARY 1, 2006 TO DECEMBER 31, 2006

During the month of June, The Kaua‘i Department of Water will be mailing out the Water Quality Reports which describe the quality of your drinking water and where it comes from. The Safe Water Drinking Act, a federal law, requires water utilities to provide water quality information to its customers every year.

The Water Quality Reports contain basic information on the source(s) of your water, the levels of contaminants in the water and compliance with other drinking water rules, as well as some brief educational materials.

There is a report available for each of the eleven water systems on Kaua‘i.

Kauai‘s water meets all of the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) guidelines for Safe Drinking Water and any contaminants found were well below the highest levels allowed by the EPA.
